Announcing My First Blog Giveaway Drawing

Who doesn't love a free gift? I know I do. To show my appreciation to my loyal followers who faithfully read this blog and to those who purchase items here on Amazon.com, I'm holding my first blog giveaway drawing.

And this is no cheap giveaway. The winner of this drawing will get a free SolaDyne LED Solar Lantern. This lightweight, green powered lantern can be charged three ways: solar power, a hand crank, or a standard 12 volt electrical outlet. This gift is perfect for the discriminating RV'er, tent camper, and prepper who is looking for a quality, never-ending source of light. I have one these lanterns packed away in my truck camper and use it on nearly all of my outings.

Here are the rules for this drawing:

1. You must be an official registered follower/member of this blog (see paragraph below on how easy it is to become one). RSS feeds and email notifications don't count.
2. You must enroll in this drawing by adding a comment at the end of this blog post stating that you are interested in participating in this contest drawing (include your member moniker/name if it's different that your comment name). I will officially confirm your entry by responding to your comment.
3. You can double your chances for winning by posting three links to various posts and articles I've written on this blog. Your links to this blog can be posted through any social media outlet like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and your own personal blog. Provide me with your social media links in your enrollment comment.
4. The drawing will occur on February 4, 2014 and the winner will be announced the following day. 
5. You must be 18 years or older to enter. The winning item will be shipped to the lower U.S. 48 only. 
6. A minimum of 50 contestants are required (enrollment count of 36 as of January 25). 

If you aren't a follower/member yet and would like to become one, here's how you do it. Look for the members cluster with the heading "Followers of this Cool and Informative Site" on the right-hand side of this page. At the top of this cluster you'll see a blue colored "Join This Site" button. Just click on it and go through the simple steps to become a follower. It's that easy and only takes a few minutes. Note that you'll need to have a Google, Twitter, Yahoo, AIM, Netlog, or an OpenID account to complete the process.
